- Dig a hole (at least 2 feet deep). You can either hire and use a clamshell digger or perhaps a gas-powered hole digger.
- Fill the hole’s bottom third with water. Then place the letterbox post in the hole. If you want to lengthen your post, you can actually screw a 4x4 blood of wood to the bottom of the post. Make sure that the wood has already been cut to your desired length.
